The Rocks and Ropes Youth Team was so pleased to partner up with the Climber's Association of Southern Arizona (CASA) a few weeks back for a youth stewardship day. Nine team members were chosen as group leaders, responsible for taking other youth from different organizations around Tucson for a Mt. Lemmon highway cleanup. Each leader was responsible for a safety briefing and managing their garbage pick-up site.
We strive to be active within the local climbing community, so this was a perfect way to give back to our backyard climbing areas, as well as expose other Tucson youth to the outdoors and rock climbing! We look forward to strengthening our relationship with CASA and participating in more community events. Enjoy the photos below!
